Sorry to post so infrequently. The dissertation process for my PhD has well and truly amped up, our kids are requiring every bit of our time and energy, and life is just damned complex right now!
Despite all of that, LTNE endures, even if it doesn't receive the bulk of hardly any of our attention right now. To that end, here is our monthly report.
The big news on our net worth continues to be the decline (via Zillow) of our rental home's value. Despite socking away large sums of money each month in our investment accounts, we just haven't been able to outpace these home value declines. I'm hoping this market turns around soon, because this godforsaken place remains our biggest albatross. According to Zillow, our house's value has declined $8,906 in the last 30 days.
So, our net worth continues to suffer from this effect:
Thanks for those of you who continue to use our affiliate links. Passive income was up this month to $580.65.

Here is our pie chart for passive income sources:
Our P2P loan drawdown continues and P2P interest continues to pour in:
In the good news category, we invested in a new Vanguard fund last month-- the Dividend Growth Fund (VDIGX)-- which we've added to our existing portfolio there.
Squarespace, where I host LTNE, has a new analytics system and it has decimated our unique visitor totals. To give you some sense of this, under the old system, it reported 6,135 unique visitors to LTNE last month. Under the new system, it now says that we had only 1,062 unique visitors last month. Wow! What a difference! Unfortunately, the new system doesn't revise months prior to March, so I can't just even out my existing chart. So, all of that said, the new analytics system reports a whopping 934 unique visits to LTNE in April and the cliff is depicted in our chart. Looking forward to LTNE's eventual pivot, we have a ton of work ahead to get these numbers back up!
No matter what, if their new analytics system is more accurate, I'd rather have accurate, discouraging numbers than inaccurate, encouraging ones. Aside from the analytics, if I don't post, then you don't visit, so I can't really complain, right?
All of this said, I will continue to post these monthly reports, even as LTNE suffers from lack of attention, as a service to those of you who continue to follow our progress.
I expect to pivot with LTNE as soon as I have the chance to do it with the dedication and quality that the pivot requires. Until then, posts will likely continue to be infrequent!
Thanks to all of you, our 934 online friends, for visiting!
